Scentsy Party!!

I am having a Scentsy Party tomorrow, Oct. 23, and I want everyone to come. It is at my house and it is an open house from 6-8. Give me a call for directions if you need them. They have new warmers for the first time for Christmas and some new smells too. Bring a friend. We are also doing a mystery color for a prize, so wear orange!! Canning

We have had quite the month trying to can enough food for the winter. We have this awesome peach tree that produces plenty of peaches and we have more than enough to trade with a friend that has plenty of tomatoes. With our combined produce we were able to get bottled peaches, jams (strawberry and rasberry -ask me how we made it with peaches and zucchini!), and great salsa. Everyone had to get in on the action. Actually, it is a fun family event. I just love this time with my mom, and this year my sister helped too.
When I say everyone, I mean everyone. Kiana had fun helping peel peaches, Maile throwing them and saying ball or just jumping in the box of peaches, oh what help!!

I love doing this and feel so domestic. Let's just say, it's a good thing I have my mom to help! Hopefully we can grow a better garden next year and do more.

Tiger in Training

At IKEA they have family night on Monday's. We just happened to be there on a Monday night and they had face painting. Kiana had to be a tiger. You may ask why she had to be a tiger (or not, but it adds to the story.) My little sister has tatoos, and though I ask her to cover them up, add times you can see the one on her arm. It is a tatoo of a baby tiger playing with butterflies. The kids are highly impressionable. All Kiana can talk about is the tiger, and it might even be her favorite animal now, thus the face painting of the tiger. It turned out really cute though, she didn't want to wash it off before bed, though she did.

They also made balloons. She was so very protective of this. It is a good thing that when it came undone, my husband has a secretive talent of making balloon objects and animals!!

The girls are best friends (sometimes). Kiana is whispering a special secret to Maile and then they laughed and laughed. I guess it was an inside joke =)

My pretty girls dressed up for church. Matching in pretty, fluffy dresses. I love that moment when you get them ready for church, no spills yet, and the hair is still done. They look like angels instead of tigers!

The Birthday Girl!

Kiana has been waiting for her birthday forever, and it can't be anyone else's birthday. She says, "It's my birthday Santa!" (because she thinks Santa brings all gifts, I think we are successfully changing that image.)

I couldn't decide how to make it special for her and went through many different ideas. We finally settled on a horse party with cowgirls and cowboys. I am no cake decorater, but took a stab at it with my sister Dondi. It took all night, and I think it turned out okay for our first try. I need to take a class or something.

The day of her party, she had a game and her cousins came and grandpa took her out for doughnuts.We had to rush home and get ready. "Ride 'em cowgirl!" Here is my princess all decked out.We played "Pin the tail on the horse." It took us forever to find a horse, but at the last minute we found a horse calendar at All A Dollar. It turned out cute, and the kids had fun and that's all that matters. We got all the kids cowboy hats and bandanas and they got a treat bag to take home with cowboy boot bubbles, plastic horses, and candy.She was so spoiled and got lots of great gifts from all her friends. Thanks to everyone. They made her feel so special.We gave her this new rocking horse that makes noises. She is so into horses and her and Maile fight over a little one that Maile got. We were hoping this would make it even, but is it ever really even?Her dad also put up these decorations and made it look cool. We really enjoyed making her party special for her. 11 kids, mostly 4 and under can be stressful, but it wasn't too bad. We made it short and sweet and all of one hour, but made it fun and memorable! We then celebrated with family a few days later, and once again she was spoiled.And to finish up, here are just some cute pics of the kiddos!!! I just can't believe how BIG they are getting. Looking at these just reminds me of that.I sure do love these girls!

Lucky

I am the luckiest and happiest mom ever. I have two beautiful daughters that make me so happy and keep me laughing everyday. Sometimes I just forget to stop and count my blessings and start the day with complaining. Today I just want to express my gratitude for these two beauties.

She Scores!!

Kiana is loving playing soccer this fall. Often playing soccer means wrestling with the boys, following the ball into the goal, and last but not least, doing somersaults down the field. We have all really enjoyed watching her games and a bunch of 4 year olds trying to kick the ball = hilarious.

Kiana is showing off her uniform that is way too big. It is hard to keep it on her. A small is not a small. Kiana is #5, and she is so proud of her number. She has to show everyone. Her team is called the bumblebees and the have a cute cheer where they all yell their team name.

This is her team doing their cheer and Coach Harris. He is so good with her, we're glad she got him as a coach. He takes time to run with her when she is behind and is very patient.

Kiana loves that her grandpa and grandma and cousins come just to watch her. She has learned so much and is growing up just before our eyes. Kiana's first goal, she was running the wrong way. We yelled at her to turn around, and about mid field she did. She just kept going and going. What a long run and a goal on top of it. She was so happy, and we are just so proud of her. We love you Kiana!

Preschool

Blogging...again! Kiana started preschool a couple of weeks ago. We are doing a neighborhood preschool and are loving it. She comes home everyday eager to tell us what she did. She loves the other kids and is always talking about "my friends!" The other mothers and I take turns teaching the lessons, which makes me nervous for my turn. This is Kiana's first day at school. She was so excited, backpack and all!

This is Kiana and her classmates on a fieldtrip to the airport to look at planes. They got to climb inside and everything.

STOP, DROP, AND ROLL

The kids are at the fire station. These firemen were awesome with the kids and I think they had a blast.

I am happy that Kiana is having this opportunity and that we have some great friends and neighbors to have preschool with. We are having a good time!
