Jolly Jumping Jellybeans

The girls' cousin had a birthday party at Classic Skating. I just thought we would go and visit and eat, because I sure wasn't taking both girls skating by myself. The second we got there, that idea went out the window. Kiana couldn't stop talking about playing, and Maile had an all out temper tantrum, in the middle of the floor, kicking and screaming. Luckily, there was more than skating there. They had a jungle bridge that went above most of the building, that was also out seeing that the girls are only 2 and 5 and could easily get lost. That left the bounce houses. There were plenty to choose from and a little girls dream to run from one to the other. Big kids were also on the bounce houses, which of course, caused the girls to get trampled a few times, but they didn't care.

Maile is sure one determined girl. I tried to get her to play in the toddler one, but no, she had to do what the big kids due. I have a video of her trying to get to the top of the most difficult one. She tried and tried and had a good time. They played in this one forever.

We had such a good time, we will have to go there again!

Dear Mission Friends

A couple of the sisters from my mission that live around the Salt Lake Valley got together the other night. We went (without hubbys or kids) out to eat and visit. It was so fun to reminisque of old times and special memories. I served with some of the most amazing women! We had so much fun. Thanks girls for the get together!!

Sleep Over

Kiana and Maile are always begging to sleep in each others room. I don't often let them because they spend the whole night giggling and playing and avoiding sleeping. When Dondi stays over, however, we let them sleep together and Dondi takes Kiana's room. Thank goodness it isn't too often.
The other night, after repeatedly telling them to go to sleep, when it is quiet, we found them like this:

It is quite amazing how well sisters get along when they are supposed to be sleeping. I am always stopping a fight, but in the middle of the night, they are best friends!!

Cats and Pumpkins and Candy

We had such a good time for Halloween. The girls have been so excited to dress us and get candy. We used old costumes, but I think they turned out so cute. The girls were happy with them and had fun. Kiana was a black cat, and she sure had to act the part, crawling around and hissing at everyone. Maile was a pumpkin, she sure loved the hat on her head and wore it for days afterwards. She kind of got confused and had to hiss at everyone too!!

Friday night, we had a trunk or treat with the ward. We had yummy food beforehand, lots of people came, and it wasn't bad weather for the kids to walk around. Kiana kept asking Steve and I what we were for Halloween, so we just put on some scrubs and called it good. I guess Steve was the dentist and I was his assistant!!
On Saturday night, Dondi and Keeley came to stay and play with us for a few days. We were getting kind of worried because around the time we wanted to go out and trick or treat, it started raining. My other sister called, and we decided to head to her house with our pizza and see what turned up with the weather. It was just ending when we got to her house and Steve and Dondi and the girls were able to go out with Melody and Braxton and have a good time. It was a bit cold, but at least not wet. I stayed and passed out candy with Trenton and his friend. And pizza is always the best for Halloween, it was nice and hot when everyone got home!!

Kiana and Steve also carved this pumpkin before we went out trick or treating. Steve usually goes all out on his pumpkin, but we ran out of time this year. This is the finished product.

We have enough candy to keep us hyper, happy, and going to the dentist!!
