Little Bo Peep Lost Her Sheep

Kiana's school class was working on Nursery Rhymes.  Kiana worked hard memorizing all the rhymes and they had a special day for the kids to be their favorite characters and then have a parade to some other classes.  Kiana choose to be Little Bo Peep!  Maile, who does whatever her sister does, then decided she was Mary Had a Little Lamb!

Kiana is really worried about losing her sheep!  Maile is blowing goodbye kisses to her lamb!
We did their hair in curlers the night before and got them all dressed up!  Kiana took her lamb with her.  She had to recite her rhyme to the other classes.  She loved it.  I was just thinking next year Kiana will be gone all day and she will have to eat at school.  She is growing too fast, sometimes I just want her to stay home and be my baby.

The next day, Maile had to show off in her left over curls.  She is showing off her 3 years, for only a few more months.  Jonas is happy as always.  I love my cute kiddos!  STOP GROWING THOUGH.

The Wrights Do it Right

Our good friends just added a very special little lady to their family, Keira!  She is a precious little doll, and we are so excited they came all the way from New York to show her off.
Jonas took a liking to her and wouldn't leave her alone in the swing.  He kept pulling off her socks and trying to get to her.

I am so glad that Keira came into this special family.  My only complaint is that they live too far for me to love on her.  We love the Wright's and miss them tons!

Stylin' the new Do!

Jonas got his haircut again.  He looks so handsome and so old when it gets cut.  He is a wiggle worm and thankfully I am not the one cutting it, my sister Melody does it!  His hair grows fast, I think we will have to cut it at least every other month.  I think my little guy isn't quite a baby any more.

Jonas' surgery

Our little guy had to go in for surgery.  I fought it and tried everything to change it, but to no avail.  Jonas' man parts have had problems from day one.  We have met with the uroloigists a few days and they had us doing things that didn't seem to help.  Jonas has now had three circumcisions and hopefully this was the last.
I was very concerned about him the night before.  With surgery you are not able to eat after midnight, this guy is still up every 3 hours, usually 2-3 times a night to nurse.  The nurse called the day before and said he could nurse until 2 am and he actually did really well.  He nursed at 1:50, and slept until we left at 5:40 in the morning to be to the hosptial at 6.
I thought I would be a wreck with them taking my baby, maybe I was too tired, but I was just fine.  We got there at 6, changed him in a gown, signed papers, and waited for the doctor.  He's such a happy guy, he went with the nurse and we didn't see him for 2 hours, until they were done.  He woke up and was disoriented, he wanted to nurse and cuddle.  There was a screaming 2 year old that wasn't coming out of anesthesia well, and so every once in a while that would stir up Jonas, but other than that he was just confused as to what happened.

Just wanted to be cuddled

His IV

Jonas had a hard recovery.  He was black and blue and purple from his belly to his thighs.  He had to take an antibiotic and hates medicine.  He wouldn't nurse the first day which made it so that he didn't wet his diaper the first day.  He was cut in 2 places and has stitches, and he wouldn't let me put him down for three days, though I couldn't touch him or put any pressure on anything but his belly.  We had to change his diaper religiously because they didn't want an infection. He was in a lot of pain and needed pain meds for a while.  I think he is finally back to normal and thankfully doesn't remember any of it.
Thanks mom for watching the girls and thanks for the awesome dinners from my friends!  We are truly blessed, not only that everything went well, but for the help of loved ones!

Daddy the Valentine

We had wanted to go have a fancy dinner as a family for Valentines, but with Steve doing work and school, there isn't much time.  Daddy still found a way to spoil us and show us we are his special girls.  We decided to celebrate the day before since the girls had plenty of fun planned at school on Valentines.  We decorated the kids doors and showered them with candy and got the Lady and the Tramp movie.  Steve also got me the new Twilight movie, chocolates, and flowers.  While Steve slept, we made a bouquet of candy for our Night and Shining Armor!  The girls were excited to make something for daddy and come up for reasons why he is so special.  We had a lot of fun! We are all very grateful for our little "love bug" Jonas.  He is always happy and smilely and I think we all fight over his attention and adoration!  We were happy to share his first Valentine's and I am happy to have two men in my life.
This didn't work quite how I wanted, but it was fun!

Just Hanging Around

Jonas loves his toys!  His favorite thing to play in is his walker.  He cruises everywhere.  He also loves the jump-a-roo and the saucer.  This week he has needed to be held more than normal and it makes me more grateful for the times I can put him down to play and not have to worry about him getting hurt.  He always has to have toys of some sort in his hands and loves to constantly be moving.  AND YES he did need a haircut in these pictures, but he is still handsome!

Aquarium- Otterpop

The girls have wanted to go to the Aquarium again and Kiana had a day off school so we decided to head in as a family.  We stopped by Pei Wei's first to grab a bite to eat.  I really liked it.  We never know when trying something new, but it was pretty good.A few new things we liked at the Aquarium, the Sting Rays were hungry and so it was fun to watch them.  They kept coming out of the water and smacking the sides of the rocks.  Kiana got to pet and feel them a lot.  The Octupus was actually quite mobile also.  We have never seen the animals so active.

Our crazy animals!

Not so sure about this?!?

Eel

They had a new exhibit, The Otters.  The girls sat and watched them forever.  Jonas seemed pretty excited too, but I don't think he could see them, I think he just was excited to be out and able to see.  The trainers hid fruit throughout the exhibit among rocks and the water and logs.  They were pretty active and would play with their food and fight over it.  There are 3 otters that are brothers and they were a lot of fun.  The camera died right when we got to the otters so I will have to get some more pictures off the phone.  The aquarium celebrated the arrival of the otters by sharing otterpops.  What cute little guys!
