Easter Fun

Holidays seem to come and go so fast. We had a nice, relaxed Easter morning. Most of our celebrating was done on Saturday and we focused more on the Savior on Sunday.

Saturday the Easter bunny came and left some fun things and hid eggs.
We emjoyed going to my parents house and playing with family. We had another great egg hunt at my parents new house. They have these huge rocks to hide the eggs in, and Kiana and Maile have the best cousins that helped them go hunting!
The kids participated in a wrestling match and we had a delicious feast and watched the 10 commandments!

On Sunday, we just went to church, we watched the kids version of Christ's resurrection, and we had Steve's parents over for steak dinner. It was suh a lovely day!

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Some of our neighbors invited us to an Easter egg hunt. We planned on doing it at a park, but as is custom with the weather this year, it rained all afternoon and so we had it at the church. Without much room and with many kids, there weren't many options other than putting the eggs all over the floor. Not too difficult to find, but the kids had a blast. All they really care about is the candy anyway, and we had a lot of fun.
This was so nice. I hate going to the county egg hunt, there are too many people, you wait forever, and then the kids don't get hardly a thing. This way they got to experience the hunt, get some eggs, and have fun. We each contributed 15 eggs for each of our children, so eachkids left with 15 eggs, WIN/WIN!

Jungle Jims

When Steve's cousin was here for a visit, we took all the kids to the playplace Jungle Jims. I had never really heard of it, but the kids had a lot of fun and we had a coupon, so it was pretty cheap. Steve's sister also came up with her kids who we haven't seen in awhile, and Kiana was in cousin heaven. She doesn't have many her age, so it is nice when we have these get togethers!

There were about 10 different rides and not very many people so they just would stay on the rides for a long time. The kids also enjoyed pizza and icecream and pop, it was great just to hang out.

They also loved this life size doll house and played in here for awhile, running in and out. Kiana keeps wanting to go back to the "monkey place". We had a lot of fun playing with family and wish we had the opportunity more.

Talented Friends

I have some talented friends that have made some cute things for our little boy! We are excited to see him use them. I think they are trying to get on Steve's good side with the Weezer and Star Wars logos!

This is from my friend Liz. She said she used stenciling and freezer paper (don't ask me, I just know it looks awesome!)

Don't they look great!?! "My name is Jonas," is a song that a group called Weezer sings, and they are Steve's favorite group.

Our friend Jami makes these amazing blankets and burp rags. It is a really cute pattern and she crouqets or knits around them (I think, I just know she makes the cool edge).

Okay, she didn't make the Star Wars shirt, but she gave it to us, and it is so fitting for Steve's son!

And while I am talking about talents, I know I don't have any, but my friend Julie helped me make this car seat cover. I am pretty proud of it. I am learning to sew a little at a time, and this was easy enough and will work perfectly!

We are getting so excited to meet this little guy. I think we now have everything ready for him and we are so grateful for good friends who have contributed to our stash!

Grandma's 90th

Steve's grandma turned 90 last week, that is amazing. What better way to celebrate then with a party and cupcakes! Steve had a cousin come out from Wisconsin and it was so nice to see her and spend time with her family. The girls had never met her daughter Claire either so that had a lot of fun with her.

Grandma is all smiles for her big day. I think she was just happy to have the attention!

Here is the family pictures minus me...I'm too big to be in pictures anyway, and someone needed to take it =)!!

The girls enjoyed playing together and Grandma Mullins had bought them some toys to play with, so they were in heaven. Don't you love Maile's cupcake mustache! Claire is a cute girl, we wished she lived closer!

Braxton's baptism

My cute nephew got baptized yesterday. We are so proud of him and it was such a good example for the girls to watch. I have such an awesome family and I love spending time with them and was grateful to see everyone for this happy occasion.

This is the handsome guy and we are so proud of the decision he made!

This is my sister and all her family! The girls are all dressed up, but can they take a decent picture? After much deliberation, I would have to say NO!Maile and Kylee are hanging out after the party. Kylee loves to play with kids, but I think she was beat after spending the afternoon with my girls. Maile kept saying "YEE HAW!" and trying to buck her.And after such an exhausting day, with no nap, it was one temper tantrum after another. While crying and yelling at Daddy, this is how my sweet Maile fell asleep.

It was such a special day filled with love and the Spirit and and I am blessed to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and an amazing family that love and support us.

It could have been perfect.....

We were excited for Valentine's Day this year. We had bought all the things to make cupcakes for all our friends, we bought candy and Valentine's bags and were going to make our own hearts for cards....Kiana did all the decorating, and thankfully we got these out last week. We made some extra ones on Sunday to deliver Monday, and then as kids are so good at doing, WE GOT SICK!!!! No parties, no candy, no going out to eat. We were stuck in the house...

watching movies and sleeping. Kiana couldn't even stay awake for very long.

Daddy still tried to make it special, showering us with gifts, love, and food...

So, we settled for a romantic candellight dinner at home with Applebee's to go and movies, medicine and throw up buckets, fevers and bathroom breaks. Good thing we had our Valentine to take care of things!!
