Sorry I haven't blogged for awhile...I have been so crazy busy! We went to the Draper Temple open house on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009. It is a good thing to do for Friday the 13th. I went with my parents, a sister and her husband, my nephew Trenton, and the girls. I was sad Steve couldn't go, but he has such a busy schedule this semester. It was such a nice trip! I'm glad I had help with Kiana and Maile though. We got there and went right through without any wait. I think it is better to go during the day on a week day =) It was nice to go through the tour, but I was especially happy to be with those that haven't ever been. Just to see their faces and be able to answer some questions was a good feeling...I hope they thought so also.
Kiana with her cousin Trenton!! She loves her cousins.
We went to a church first where they talked about the new temple and work done there, and then they bus you over to the temple, probably to help with parking and the step roads in the winter. Here we are on the bus!!
This is the family (minus me) that went. Trenton, KC, Kiana, Chani, Mom, Keith, and Maile! This is at the church where you finish up the tour and you get water and cookies (I'm all about the food!!) There are missionaries there to answer questions.I am thankful that I could be there with some of my family. It helps me remember the blessings at the temple and that families are forever. I am glad my girls could go...to see it before they go through for themselves when they are older is rare and a blessing. I am thankful for the Spirit that is still felt there, even before it is dedicated. I'm glad we had the chance to go!!

Thanks for reminding me we need to get there - little kids don't get chances like this very often. I can still remember when I went to the Dallas one when I was really small.
