Time Out For Women

A couple of weeks ago I got to go with a bunch of my favorite people to Time Out For Women. No kids, no hubby, just my mom, my sisters, my mother in law, and some good friends for whole days. It was such a spiritual uplift, with good music and talks. Amanda Dickson from KSL radio spoke about making your own changes and making your own happiness. Linda Eyre and her daughter Shawni Eyre Pothier spoke about parenting and some secrets to raising children. Emily Freeman spoke about loving life and seeing good days. We also heard from Brad Wilcox about the grace of our Savior and really understanding His Grace and love. There was an awesome lady that spoke about her life in Sierra Leone, the struggles, and how she found the gospel. Her name was Mariama Kallon and she later served a mission at Temple Square. I learned a lot about President Gordon B. Hinckley from his daughter. She talked of love, life, and death, and then Heidi S Swinton spoke about our Prophet Thomas S. Monson. Some amazing stories that I had never heard and she put in a book she wrote of his life. He was a mischiveous boy full of love and the desire to do good. I love our prophet and was so happy to learn more about him.
There was such amazing music. On Friday, we heard the inspiring music by Dallin Bayles. He is an opera singer and has traveled with Le Mes and Phantom of the Opera. He sings with such a love and passion. On Saturday, all through out the day, we were able to hear from Hilary Weeks. She has so many faith building, humorous stories and sings so beautifully. She loves life and sharing it with others. I was so blessed to share such a wonderful experience with those I love, enjoying these inspiring messages.

During lunch we all got to go to Olive Garden and have fun together. I splurged, no kids, and eating by myself. It was a good time. I definitely want to go to this every year.
