I feel like one of those crazy jugglers. All of my balls are flying high in the air, and I'm just wanted for them to start falling and hitting me in the face. It has been a crazy couple of weeks. I enjoyed a night in the ER (it was so stupid), and a couple of days in bed(thanks to my husband). I had the chills on Feb. 22, no big deal. I went visiting teaching and was just freezing. I came home, everyone was still asleep from their naps, so I layed on the couch and threw a blanket on me to get warm. Within 20 mins., I had called Steve to come down and give me a blessing. I am so grateful for the power of the priesthood and that my sweet husband was here to give me a blessing. He called my step-father to come and help. With my mom, they quickly drove over here, but by the time they got here, I was full on hypervenilating and paralyzed from head to toe. I honestly had no control over my body. Steve took my temperature which was nearing 103 degrees. I just wanted to go to an after hours, but they wouldn't have it. My mom got the girls ready and took them to her house. They drove before us so that the ER would be ready with a wheelchair, and I went to the ER. I haven't done that since I was 8 years old.
It wasn't really a big deal. Because I was cold (due to the fever), I had the chills and couldn't stop shaking which lead to my hands and feet being in a lot of pain. To breathe through the pain, I started to hypervenilate which lead to the paralysis because I was getting too much oxygen. When all was said and done, I had mastitis (an infection from nursing), and it gave me the fever and made me pretty sick. After being on oxygen for awhile, getting an IV, some zofran to stop throwing up, and a whole lot of antibiotics, they sent me home. My husband took off for a few days and took good care of me and the girls. The house was a reck, but what can you expect? It was nice to be taken care of and I guess I have to get sick just to have him around for a few days.
Sorry, I wouldn't let him take pictures of me in the hospital, but trust me, I was cute. Thanks to my parents for always being so willing to step in and take care of everything =).
We have also been refinancing the house, and WOOHOO, we finally got that taken care of!! We are now in the process of trying to finish our basement which will be a long process. We had a few contractors come in to give us estimates. They were pretty high, so we will be trying it ourselves. Wish us luck!! Our house is falling apart anyway. Our faucet broke under our kitchen sick and has been leaking for awhile, it was pretty gross underneath, and we had a good friendwho fell off the toilet when our toliet seat broke, oops. Steve is learning to be the handdy man though. He just looks in his handy dandy home depot fix-it book, and goes to town. I am pretty impressed and thankful he can do it, it just has to wait around for him to be home too. What else can go wrong. No were good, it just all happens at once.
Maile also turned 8 months!! I can't believe it. She is getting so BIG. She is getting to such a fun age. Today when I was feeding her yogurt, she would take a bite, shake her head back and forth, and laugh and laugh at us. It was pretty cute. She got her first baby tooth on Feb. 27, just before the 8th month mark. Thanks goodness no big bites yet, knock on wood. She still hasn't taken off, cruisin around the house, it's probably better that way. She loves when you hold her tiny hands and walk with her though. She learns so much every day.
Kiana is just enjoying being the BIG sister. I ran out of the room the other day to grab something, and Kiana had pulled Maile on her back from the bathroom into her room so they could play. Once again, running to get the phone, I come back downstairs, and Kiana is hitting Maile in the head with a flyswatter. It is amazing the babies survive the older siblings!! Kiana loves sleeping at her grandma and grandpa's house and has made it a weekly ritual. She begs all week long to go over there. They humor her and get to spend quality time with her, they just don't get quality sleep. Kiana got a toy horse she named Brownie, and she just loves it to death. She takes it everywhere, sleeps with it, and has a good imagination with it. The other day I was showing her the mane and tail, and she told me not to touch him because he doesn't like mom and bites you. It was pretty funny. She also wakes up every morning, hears Maile, and has to go tell her good morning and jump in the crib with her. The other day she said, "Mom, Maile loves me." I said, "Maile loves momma too." Her reply, "No she doesn't love you, she bites you!!" Can you tell we have a problem with biting? I can't wait until we are out of the phase.
With all that has been going on, we are truly blessed. We are healthy and happy!! Steve took some Christmas money and some money from our taxes and bought the family a Wii. We are having fun together playing that. Come challenge Steve in a game and rock out with him, it would make his day!!
Here are some more fun pics!

This is Kiana and Maile having fun with Grandpa!

Her is Kiana and Steve trying out their new Wii (they are boxing). Kiana is amazingly pretty good and she just loves to play with daddy.

Maile and Kiana are playing, and Kiana is trying to scare us since she gets pretty scared when other people put this on. She is really into monsters lately. They are everywhere and she won't go anywhere by herself, including if I leave the room. Kind of funny, but at the same time annoying.

Sorry to hear about your infection. I've been lucky to never have had one but I've heard they're really bad. Is there anything I can do?
I'm so sorry. I had nooo idea you were going through that. Thats terrible, but yes so wonderful to have your hubby home! I hope everything is getting better. I hope to see you this month!!!
Just a little ticked at you for not calling for help on the sickness thing . . . I can cook and babysit any day. Glad we're all feeling better, though, hooray!
