4 year old Firecracker

Maile was due on the 4th of July and since she was so big, they took her a little early.  She was then, as she is now a little firecracker.  She has a spirit always bursting in excitement and fun and love for others.  I didn't plan too much for her birthday because we are having a huge friend and family party for her next week, but we ended up doing a lot anyway.
I had to work that morning and we came home and did naps to get ready for a fun day.  We began our fiesta with doughnuts, a birthday song, and presents.  Maile wanted a doughnut instead of cake, so we surrounded it in candles for her birthday wish.  She then she opened her presents and got a flying pony from her sister, a small lalalopsy from her brother, a pony train and a movie from mom and dad.  For all of their combined birthdays we got a new swingset a few months ago!  She seemed happy with her gifts.
Steve likes to spoil the kids, make sure they have a lot to do and have fun, I was fine with a quiet dinner and hanging out together at home.  Steve won.  We went to Chucky Cheese and ate and played lots.  The girls really like that place and it isn't too bad priced.  We then went to the Redwood Drive-In and watched Brave and Avengers.  There was this old couple next to us, sweet as can be.  They own the Bountiful music store and the husband, I think he said his name was Jerry, went around to groups of cars and had them sing happy birthday to Maile.  It was so cute and they were really nice to the girls.  The girls stayed awake for both movies.  I don't think this old woman can stay up that late anymore, I only got about 3 hours of sleep that night.  We really enjoyed the shows though, and after a few tense moments of all getting settled comfortably in the back of the van, we had a good time together, it was also easier once Jonas fell asleep.

Maile sure had a spoiled, princess for the day attitude, but I hope she was able to enjoy her special day. In some ways I can't believe she is 4, in others she seems way older.  We love her and her pretty smile and her sparkly fire spunk.  She fits perfectly with this crazy mom.  Thanks for coming to our family 4 years ago, we love you.
Some things about Maile:
She loves to have fun, or make the fun things happen- always laughing and giggling.
She mauls people to death, she just loves everyone and has to show them by hugging/tackling them to the ground.
She loves to play with her sister and wants to do everything she does but will pester her like crazy.  Every single time she gets in the car she will pull Kiana's seatbelt and then Kiana will hit her, and then Maile will cry -- it's the same thing EVERY day.
She loves to make Jonas laugh.
She loves wearing dress-ups.  She thinks she is a princess, and so do I!
She loves to play make believe and talks Kiana into it.
She loves princess movies, barbie, and Dora.
She loves pink.
She sings loudy to the song Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye.
I think her favorite food is pizza and yogurt.
She loves ballet.
She loves to say prayers and sing primary songs.
She hates buckling in her seatbelt.
Maile wants to wear a dress everyday.
Maile is still attached to her baby blanket and it was getting so ruined my mom had to make another, though Maile only wants to use the original.
