I had to beg for them to come and sit with me and open the rest of their presents!!
Kiana was really excited that Santa ate all the cookies she made for him and he even drank all the milk.
Look at my bakers, so cute! Maybe I won't have to do all the cooking anymore, they have already made me some very nice meals. The grandparents also came over on Christmas to see all the presents, and were also treated to some goodies.
It was such a nice, peaceful day. We got to stay home for awhile, play with toys, get naps in, and then go to my mom's to spend time with my family. My mom has worked all year on an "I Spy Quilt." It turned out so beautiful and is a lot of fun. I think it is a 9x8 block quilt with all of our favorite things and you play I spy with it. There are blocks of Star Wars and Peanuts Characters for Steve, Cows and dolphins for me, horses and princess for Kiana, and Winnie the Pooh and ballerinas for Maile, just to name a few. We love it and will have to take special care of it so we have it forever. I don't want to keep it out or it will get ruined, maybe just bring it out to play games and put it up again. Thanks for all the hard work and hours put into it mom, we love it!
We are so blessed with such wonderful families and have been blessed so much this year. We are truely grateful. Thanks for everything!
Kiana is my 4 year old that knows everything. She can be the biggest angel and two minutes later is kicking and screaming and I'm pulling my hair out. She loves everyone and loves hugs but enjoys wrestling (with a reminder not to wrestle during preschool). She knows moma's limits and likes to push buttons (I don't know where she gets that ;)). 
She loves, LOVES animals. She will love your animal to death if given the chance. She begs to hold grandpa and grandma's birds right now. They tell her the birds are eating now to deter her, until they give up after she asks if they're done 20 times. She will not let it go. If Kiana is coming over, it's best to put the animal outside before she gets there =).
Kiana is one smart cookie. I debate wether I should try to get her in school next year (she just misses the deadline) and fight the system or enjoy her one more year. She can count to at least thirty, spells about 10 or 15 words, knows the sounds of every letter and recognizes them, and we work on flash cards but she needs a lot of help with them. Maybe I just think my baby is advanced and that is actually normal for her age. 
Kiana loves to tell me about all her friends, pretty much anyone she sees. She makes good friends and has really learned to play and get along. This is her cousin Jaylee and they are trying out their new snuggies. We were at the church and there were some girls there playing, she wanted to play so bad and kept saying how they were her friends. They didn't know her though, and kept saying, "you aren't my friend...". And she'd reply, "yes I am, everybody's my friend." I felt so bad. Can't we all just get along. I wish I could be more loving like her!
Kiana is my best bud. She is the greatest helper. Right now, Maile is in that stage where she is into everything, and it is so nice to be able to ask Kiana to go pick up all the tupperware or run after Maile or just to go play with her. She makes things so fun and everything is a game. Kiana runs after Maile and MAile runs and giggles. She makes Maile happier then anyone else ever can. We are all happier when Kiana is happy. I love her age and her contagious smile. She just wants everyone to play with her. How happy I am that she is my friend and my daughter!
Maile brings such joy to our family, we love her so much.
The story was read by an awesome conductor and they stopped in the middle to pass out hot cocoa (where it talks about having cocoa on the train). They had a train on stage and choo-choo noises and then during the cocoa pass out the song "Hot, Hot, Hot." It was just so fun.
The primary also sang their traditional Christmas songs and then Santa stopped by for a visit. 
And here's a picture of Maile just putting her feet up! I think it is so funny how she does this.
We started the festivities at the Pumpkin walk at the Benson Grist Mill. They usually have more for the kids, but this year it seemed to be mostly vendors. It was still fun to get in the Halloween and pumpkin mood.
This cow, of course, was my favorite pumpkin! I had to make sure the dragon didn't set it on fire!
The next adventure Steve handled by himself while I was at Super Saturday. They went to Kiana's last soccer game and then to the Halloween carnival.
Maile was tuckered out before it began and slept amongst all that noise!!
Kiana playing games. Steve said she got scared in the beginning and it was hard to get her to do much. She has beem so excited about Halloween asking everyone she comes in contact with, "what you be a Halloween?" (secretly I think this is so cute, so I haven't corrected her, in fact I would say it to!!), but she sure scares easily.
Kiana also had a wonderful Halloween party at preschool. One of the other moms took these awsome pictures of the kids. They are missing one of her classmates, Josh, because his mom had a baby! At school they danced and played games like ghost, ghost, boo (duck, duck, goose) and ate doughnuts off a string and had lots of candy. She has such a fun preschool with many great teachers.
We didn't get many pictures Halloween night, but we had lots of fun. We went to a neighbors house for soup and fun. Kiana had to get make-up on like the other girls, so here she is getting her BIG purple dragon eyes on...
We went trick or treating around the neighborhood. I thought Maile would go to a few houses, get bored, and ride in the stroller. Actually, it was exactly opposite. She loved it. I don't know if she figured out people were giving her candy until the end when she began eating it, but she loved that people were putting things in her pumpkin. Her and Kiana have had these pumpkins for weeks and they would put things around the house in them and carry them around. They had so much fun. A pretty cheap toy for so much entertainment. I think she was excited that other people were putting things into it too. I would set her on the porch and she'd run to the door with Kiana and say, "tick or teet", and wait and then say, "thantoo!" It was the cutest. When Kiana was tired and throwing temper tantrums, Maile was still going. It was pretty fun. It is fun to see them understand Halloween more and we were happy that we could spend some time with Daddy too and our friends.
